Amelia’s Homemade Carrot Cake has few different variants of Bak Chang which are Hokkien Dumpling, Nonya Dumpling, XO Hokkien Dumpling and Vegetarian Nonya Dumpling.
I tried Hokkien Dumpling, Nonya Dumpling and XO Hokkien Dumpling.
Hokkien Dumpling consists of Pork Belly, Mushrooms, Chestnut, Salted Egg Yolk wrapped around Glutinous Rice. Pork Belly is juicy. Mushrooms, Chestnut and Salted Egg Yolk are also yummy. I like it.
Nonya Dumpling consists of Marinated Minced Pork, Winter Melon slices wrapped around Blue Pea Flower Glutinous Rice. Blue Pea Flower makes this Bak Chang has blue colour. Marinated Minced Pork is sweet and tasty.
XO Hokkien Dumpling is a limited edition version of Amelia’s Homemade Carrot Cake‘s Dumpling. It contains of Pork Belly, Chestnut, Dried Prawns and Scallops wrapped around Glutinous Rice. You will really taste XO taste in this Bak Chang, Pork Belly is tender and other toppings make this Bak Chang has a rich yummy taste.
All of the Bak Chang that I tried contains a lot of ingredients and yummy. These Bak Chang is best to eat while it’s hot. You may consider to warm it before eating to get the best taste of each Bak Chang.
Other than Bak Chang, I also try Glutinous Rice, Classic Carrot Cake, Pumpkin Carrot Cake, Yam Pumpkin Cake and Shredded Scallops.
I warm the Glutinous Rice before eating and the taste is amazed me. It has soft texture, warm and yummy.
Per Amelia’s Homemade Carrot Cake recommendation, I pan fried these Classic Carrot Cake and Pumpkin Carrot Cake. For Yam Pumpkin Cake, I oven toast it. Both methods produce delicious taste but I do prefer to pan fried it because it makes these cake crispy.
These cakes also have unique texture as it’s made with a lot of shredded Radish. The Pumpkin also has refreshingly sweet taste.
Shredded Scallops is also nice to try 😀.
