Chinese New Year is a tradition with red colour decorations, wearing red colour clothes and giving hong bao (red envelope).
Other than that, Chinese New Year celebration also has festive cookies such as pineapple tarts, nian gao, prawn rolls, kueh lapis and many more.
Among those cookies, pineapple tarts always become my favourite Chinese New Year cookies.
Speaking of pineapple tarts, in conjunction of Chinese New Year 2022, my uncle from Jakarta recently sent me an Indonesian type of pineapple tarts.
Fyi, the same as in Singapore, normally people (in Indonesia) start selling and buying pineapple tarts few weeks before Chinese New Year.
I was so happy to get this pineapple tarts.
