Today I will share with you one coffee shop inside old school looking house which is located inside Megaria (Metropole) complex Jakarta – Indonesia that many people will not notice because the location is quite hidden.
This coffee shop name is Kaiju Coffee.
I believe the Kaiju Coffee owner inspired to use Kaiju name because they are fans of Kaiju (Japanese giant monster). I honestly was initially interested to go to Kaiju Coffee because of Kaiju name. Hehehe.
My dear and I ordered Iced Kopi Susu Kaiju (Rp.18.000,- around $1.80), Iced Markissa (Rp.15.000,- around $1.50) and Rice Bowl Chicken Kaiju Sauce (Rp.28.000,- around $2.80).
Those drinks and food are pretty affordable, right? But, even though it’s cheap, it doesn’t mean that there is no quality in their dishes.
In fact the Iced Kopi Susu Kaiju was pretty good and amazingly because I am not so into coffee, I like this Iced Kopi Susu Kaiju so much.
My dear said Iced Markissa was also nice.
We shared Rice Bowl Chicken Kaiju Sauce. This rice bowl is quite spicy but it’s ok because I can still take it.
The chicken is quite crispy, tender and the portion is a lot.
Overall it’s really worth to try Kaiju Coffee and this place ambience is also pretty good and relaxing.
I just hope that I will not evolve become Kaiju after drinking and eating these Kaiju cuisine. Roar….roar….
