I had one of hidden gem recommendation for you to try if you are craving for Indian food.
This place name is Kamal Restaurant Pte Ltd.
I called it hidden gem because this place is located hiddenly inside shop house behind super crowded Kopitiam that is selling famous nasi lemak.
I can guarantee at Kamal Restaurant, you would definitely be able to find seat even though it looks crowded.
Kamal Restaurant Pte Ltd has been existed since 1960 and it’s well known of selling Muslim food. They also claimed that they are specialized in Fried Chicken Briyani.
Because of that, I was curious to order Fried Chicken Briyani.
This Fried Chicken Briyani came with papadam and small bowl of curry.
I also ordered Teh Tarik. Total cost for these were $10.
This Fried Chicken was savory and the skin was quite crispy. It seemed that they were using many herb ingredients as batter to fried this chicken. By the time you eat it, you will immediately notice that this fried chicken is an Indian cuisine.
The briyani rice was nice and the portion is was quite a lot. Papadam was also quite crispy.
I am not too sure whether the curry is matched with this nasi briyani or not. Perhaps it’s just my preference because I see other people eat this with curry.
Teh tarik was tasty and sweet.
Overall, Kamal Restaurant Pte Ltd is a good option to have your lunch especially if you don’t want to queue for a long time.
