Today I will review one of my favourite food named KuoTie.
This stall name is KuoTie Shantung Ling. It is located right beside Cempedak Goreng Spesial Cik Lina.
I was interested to try this KuoTie from KuoTie Shantung Ling because I felt hungry while waiting for Cempedak Goreng that I ordered earlier. It seemed that this stall is quite famous around there.
Fyi, KuoTie is a Chinese Indonesian pan fried dumplings. From the looks, it’s pretty similar with gyoza but the ingredients and taste are different.
KuoTie Shantung Ling is selling two types of KuoTie: KuoTie Panggang (Grilled KuoTie) and KuoTie Goreng (Fried KuoTie).
I tried their KuoTie Panggang. They served this KuoTie with chilli sauce.
One special thing with this KuoTie Panggang is the skin. The skin is super crispy beyond my imagination. It’s really blown my expectation as this is the crispiest KuoTie skin that I have ever tried so far.
Honestly, I am normally very particular about the KuoTie filling whether it’s tasty or so so, but for this KuoTie, I don’t care about the filling taste because their crispy skin really stand up very well and cover up the filling taste.
Even though it seems that the majority of KuoTie fans are coming from older generation, I do believe younger generations will automatically fall in love with KuoTie from KuoTie Shantung Ling.
Overall I truly like this KuoTie. It’s one of the best KuoTie that I have ever tried so far.
