It’s been a long time for me from my last visit to Chinatown Complex Food Centre. Finally I came here again few weeks ago for my weekday lunch since the distance was not so far from my office.
I went to try Preserved Veg Hor Fun ($6) from Poh Preserved Veg Hor Fun stall.
I was very curious to try because I like hor fun and preserved chye poh so much. It’s really rare to find food place in Singapore that is selling a dish, mainly using chye poh.
So here I am trying Preserved Veg Hor Fun.
To be honest, the appearance of this Preserved Veg Hor Fun didn’t do justice at all. It didn’t look appealing at all. But once you tried it, I believed you would definitely change your mind right away.
I noticed they gave at least three pieces of shrimp. It was crunchy and fresh.
You could taste a crisp in the outer layer of hor fun and soft inside.
The chye poh also tasted quite strong, which I liked so much.
Perhaps the seller could give more portion of hor fun.
Overall this is a kind of dish that I would love to keep coming back to eat while I have time.
