My dear and I went to Chinatown Point to have dinner and were curious to visit Segar restaurant because this restaurant name sounded like Indonesian word.
Segar restaurant has two types of set menu which are Set Menu A and Set Menu B.
Set Menu A ($33.80) is for two people and Set Menu B ($98.80) is for 4-5 people. Price does not include GST & service charge.
Set Menu A contains side dishes, vegetables, main, two plates of steamed rice and two glasses of drinks.
You can choose one dish for side dishes (Braised Beancurd, Oyster Omelette, Egg Fu Yong, Minced Chicken Beancurd), vegetables (HK Chye Sim with Oyster Sauce, Beansprout Salted Fish, Sambal Kang Kong, Luohan Vegetables) and main (Lemon Chicken, Minced Chicken with Thai Basil, Sambal Sotong, Oats Prawns).
For the drinks, you can choose either Iced Lemon Tea, Lime Juice, Orange Juice, Tea / Tea O, Coffee or Chinese Tea.
We tried Braised Beancurd, Sambal Kang Kong and Lemon Chicken. For the drink, we tried Orange Juice.
Braised Beancurd was their recommendation dish among four side dishes selections, so we chose that one.
Braised Beancurd contains a lot of things, tofu, vegetables and chicken slices with braised sauce. It was very tasty.
Sambal Kang Kong had savoury taste and quite spicy.
Lemon Chicken was also delicious. The lemon sauce was not very strong and chicken was tender.
Orange juice was nice and refreshing.
Overall, we were satisfied with Segar restaurant’s dishes.
