Roasted Story has been operating since 2022 and they are using lychee firewood and citron firewood to infuse the aroma and further enhance the taste of all of their roasted delights. Sounds amazing, right?
My friend and I tried Fire Bu Jian Tian Char Siew ($21.80), Crispy Pork Belly ($15) and two bowls of Steam Fragrance Rice ($2 each).
Honestly I don’t know the meaning of Fire Bu Jian Tian Char Siew since I don’t understand Chinese language. But because of Fire Bu Jian Tian Char Siew was a chef recommendation menu and they would have fire attraction to put the fire on the top of this char siew, we decided to try.
Well, the fire was not as big as we expected, but it was still a cool performance 😂.
Fire Bu Jian Tian Char Siew is worth to become a recommendation menu because this char siew is extremely delicious. It’s fragrant, taste sweet, tender and the fat & meat will melt inside your mouth.
Crispy Pork Belly is one of the firewood roast meat menu selection. The pork belly is thick, big and the skin is crispy like crackers.
Both of these dishes that I ordered are meant for the sharing dishes so if you are eating alone, these dishes portions might be too much for you. But don’t worry because they also have a set menu for people who eats alone.
They also gave us three different bowl of ingredients: two types of chilli sauce and black colour thick sauce.
But for me, I prefer to eat these dishes without using the ingredients at all as I feel the ingredients would ruin the perfect taste that these dishes already have.
I really recommend you to try Fire Bu Jian Tian Char Siew if you visit Roasted Story. It’s worth to try.
