Located at second floor of Berseh Food Centre, Wei Mei Si Handmade Noodle Fish Soup is one of the food stall around there that has a long queue. They are selling eight different types of soup dishes such as Double Fish Soup, Seafood Soup, Sliced Fish Soup, Bee Hoon Soup / Mee Sua, Sliced Fish Bee Hoon, Ban Mian / U-Mian / Mee Hoon Kueh, Fried Fish Yi Mian and Fried Fish Soup.
I tried large portion of Double Fish Soup ($7.50) with steamed rice ($0.50).
Double Fish Soup is a soup dish that contains fried fish, sliced fish, egg tofu and few types of vegetables. The owner boils all the ingredients (except fried fish) together using big flame, so the soup that he serves will be very hot and makes the soup absorbed all the ingredients essence to have rich flavors.
This owner also gives generously fried fish and sliced fish, but I am not sure if it’s because I order large portion or not.
Overall I like this dish a lot. I really don’t mind keep eating it everyday, but too bad it’s very far from my place.
The way I eat this dish is to put the steamed rice inside Double Fish Soup bowl. I like eating it like that. How about you?
