Today I will share with you one ban mian stall named Amoy Ban Mian which is located inside One Punggol Hawker Centre.
Actually at first I didn’t intend to visit this stall at all. But because on that Monday evening, almost all food stall were closed, so I had to order my dinner from Amoy Ban Mian.
Amoy Ban Mian got eight different types of menu, such as Ban Mian / U-Mian Soup, Mee Hoon Kway Soup, Ee Mian / Macaroni Soup, Tomyum Ban Mian / U-Mian, Dry Ban Mian / U-Mian, Dry Mee Hoon Kway, Pork Belly Mushroom Ban Mian / U-Mian Soup and Chicken Mushroom Ban Mian / U-Mian Soup.
I ordered Dry Ban Mian ($4.50) to take away.
The unique thing about this Dry Ban Mian was that instead of putting raw egg and cooking it together with the noodles, they gave us fried sunny side up.
I kind of like their idea because we would hardly get one whole egg from “cooked together with the noodle” method.
Another good point was that they were helping us to mix this ban mian with the black sauce provided before they served it to us and before they put chilli sauce.
Because normally if we were doing take away and they didn’t help us to mix the noodle with ingredients beforehand, we would have difficulty to mix it perfectly at home because it was already a bit cold.
Well, this Dry Ban Mian had a very good taste.
It was yummy and I loved it so much. In fact after that day, sometimes I visit there again to eat their Dry Ban Mian.
