Today I will share with you about one vintage looking restaurant that I have never expected, it’s located on the level two of the small building in front of Tan Boon Liat Building “a building that is famous to find good furniture accessories”.
This restaurant is a hidden gem restaurant because who will expect this kind of elegant restaurant located out of nowhere “in front of Tan Boon Liat Building”.
Curious of the restaurant name? It’s Angie’s Oyster Bar & Grill.
I tried Angie’s Big Breakfast ($27), Linguine Alla Puttanesca Con Vongole ($28) and Angie’s Original Fish N Chips ($28).
Angie’s Big Breakfast is one of a weekend brunch menu and consist of Kurobuta Pork Sausage, Sourdough, Scrambled Eggs, Thick-cut Applewood Smoked Bacon, Rhubard Jam, Tater Tots and Side Greens.
This weekend brunch menu is a heavy one, full packed of delicious food inside this dish. It’s one of Angie’s Oyster Bar & Grill recommendation menu and nothing will go wrong if you choose this dish.
Linguine Alla Puttanesca Con Vongole consist of Linguine with Clams, White Wine, Basil and extra Virgin Olive Oil.
This pasta dish is simply delicious with abundant amount of fresh clams to bring up the flavour.
Angie’s Original Fish N Chips is the reason why I visited this place because I heard this Fish N Chips was very delicious.
It consists of NZ wild-caught living Fish, Stout Tempura Battered, Crushed Peas and Jalapeño Tartare Sauce.
The fish is very fresh and will melt in your mouth while the Stout Tempura Battered make this outer layer of fish is nicely crispy. It’s more delicious if you eat this fish with Crushed Peas and Jalapeño Tartare Sauce altogether.
Angie’s Original Fish N Chips is indeed remarkable so you must order this dish.
Overall I really recommend you to visit Angie’s Oyster Bar & Grill.
P.S.: do make a reservation before visiting this place so you will not waste your time 😊.
