I recently found one restaurant inside Havelock 2 selling mouthwateringly looking char siew.
Because I am fans with pork cuisine especially char siew, I couldn’t resist the temptation to try it 😂.
So here I was at Char Seal Bar restaurant seeing the menu and unexpectedly I saw Indomie as one of the menu to eat with the char siew to replace steamed rice.
Again, as an Indonesian who already stayed in Singapore for quite long, seeing Indomie kind of seeing treasure, 😂 so I definitely would also ordered that.
In the end I ordered two Char Seal Don. One with short grain rice and another one with Indomie.
Char Seal Don itself contains char siew, steam broccoli, sunny side up and pork rind.
The char siew was nice and sweet. Although it wasn’t melt in my mouth, it was still tender.
On the other hand, their Indomie was a bit letdown because they were only using Indomie Goreng noodle without all the ingredients that came with it, so the taste wasn’t like Indomie Goreng at all.
When I asked them, they said they didn’t use the ingredients because they felt that Indomie Goreng ingredients was not so healthy, so they created the healthier one by using their own ingredients to mix with this Indomie Goreng.
It was quite made sense after hearing their reason, but to be fair, better not to mention Indomie on the menu in the first place.
