While exploring Redhill area after meeting people to buy plant, I passed by one quite hidden location Malay food stall named Daeng M.Y.
Because in that time I was craving for Lontong, I decided to try Daeng M.Y.’s Lontong ($4) and I also requested to add one Begedil with additional cost.
They also asked me whether I wanted chilli sauce or not and I told them just a little bit only. Only later I realized that my request to add a little bit only was my greatest mistake 😂.
One plate of Lontong consists of few pieces of lontong, boiled egg, tofu, vegetables and lontong gravy.
At first, I tried this lontong gravy before mixing it with the chilli sauce and I found out that the taste was a little bit bland for my liking.
After that, I tried to mix it evenly with the chilli sauce and surprisingly the taste became pretty delicious and that’s why I regretted I only requested only a little bit chilli sauce.
I should request to add more chilli because the chilli sauce itself has sweet and spicy taste, so the spiciness level would not overpowering this dish.
Begedil was also nice to eat with this lontong.
Overall this Lontong is delicious, but you must mix it with the chilli sauce.
Since this lontong is Halal, Muslim friend can also try.
