For the past few days, I had reviewed about flower cake, rice bowl and Penang cuisine located inside Havelock 2 building yet still haven’t had Western food.
So, today is the time to review Western food that I tried from Griddler & Grinder which is also located inside the same building.
Fyi, Griddler & Grinder is one of the several newly open restaurants inside Havelock 2 building.
Because it’s newly opened, they are having an Opening Promo set ($9.80) which consists of one main dish and one beverage.
There are four different main dishes to choose for Opening Promo set: Baked Rice, Grilled Chicken Chop, Fish & Chips or Pasta.
I chose Baked Rice and my friend chose Grilled Chicken Chop.
While normally chicken cube or seafood is a common baked rice topping, Griddler & Grinder put sausage slices and capsicum to become their baked rice topping.
It’s a bit unusual for me, but it turns up to be delicious.
They are also generous with the cheese (it’s quite thick) and they serve it in a very hot condition. So, the best time to eat this baked rice is while it’s still hot because you can have a thick melting cheese in every scoop of the rice.
Grilled Chicken Chop comes with gravy sauce, french fries, grilled corn and assorted vegetables.
To be honest, inside my heart, I am a bit shock when seeing grilled chicken chop because it seems the chicken still haven’t grilled long enough. Luckily the chicken is grilled perfectly, so it becomes tasty and still tender.
Grilled corn is also nice and remind me of Indonesian version of grilled corn.
P.S.: I am not sure when this promo would be ended, so try it as soon as possible 😉.
