I like chicken rice a lot. So it really made my curiosity up when I heard McDonald’s launched a limited “Hainanese Chicken Burger” to celebrate Singapore National Day.
This Hainanese Chicken Burger is the collaboration creation between McDonald’s Singapore with Singaporean actor and Chef Ben Yeo.
Using chicken rice theme, this Hainanese Chicken Burger consists of Semolina Buns, Crispy Fried Chicken, Cabbage, Carrots, Lettuce, Mayonnaise, Ginger and Garlic Chilli Sauce. This burger also comes with a sachet of dark sweet sauce.
I ordered Hainanese Chicken Burger set meal with top up 30 cents to change from French Fries to CrissCut Fries.
I saw many of other people on Instagram decorated the buns by drawing using dark sweet sauce. For me, I tried to draw it but unfortunately it ended as a disaster so I named my creation as messylicious Hainanese Chicken Burger 😂.
My personal review about this Hainanese Chicken Burger is that it has light chicken rice taste and I can also taste ginger and honestly the dark sweet sauce plays a big part to make this Hainanese Chicken Burger taste like chicken rice. So if you eat this burger without dark sweet sauce, the taste will become similar like McChicken with garlic taste.
How is your opinions about this Hainanese Chicken Burger?
