I recently went to IKEA and bought Nasi Kerabu for take away.
What is Nasi Kerabu? Nasi Kerabu is one of a Malaysian cuisine rice dish.
Nasi Kerabu consists of blue colour rice, curry chicken leg, half salted egg, perkedel, vegetable, chilli and colourful crackers.
Blue colour on the rice is made using blue pea flowers. The rice is cooked well and not hard.
Curry Chicken Leg is quite big. The chicken leg is juicy and the curry itself is nice.
The one that I do really like with this Nasi Kerabu is because they put salted egg. I really seldom find rice set that comes with salted egg in Singapore. Normally, you need to add salted egg by yourself by adding extra money (not inside meal set).
If you cannot eat too spicy, be careful with the chilli. It’s very spicy for me, but it’s nice.
Perkedel, vegetables and colour crackers make this Nasi Kerabu complete.
Other than Nasi Kerabu, I also bought Fried Chicken Wing. This fried chicken wing is fragrant and yummy.
P.S.: when you plan to purchase this Nasi Kerabu and do take away, it’s better to bring your own tupperware. Because from my experience when buy this Nasi Kerabu (I tried 3 times so far), two times I need to pay $1 for tupperware (they use tupperware to put Nasi Kerabu) and only one time I no need to buy tupperware because they provide normal packaging like you see in this photo.
This Nasi Kerabu (without tupperware) costs $7.90 and this is a Halal certified food.
This Nasi Kerabu is a must order dish for me whenever I visit IKEA. Do try it 😀
