Today’s review is a bit special because I will review Pakistani cuisine restaurant inside Suntec (near Promenade MRT side) named Kebabchi.
Kebabchi is a colourful looking interior restaurant that is selling an authentic Pakistani cuisine.
Actually my friend and I randomly chose restaurant to eat because we were confused on what to eat around there.
In the end we landed on Kebabchi and ordered Chicken Makhni Handi ($18), Fish Achari Tikka ($16), Garlic Naan ($4) and Tandoori Lachha Paratha ($4.50).
Chicken Makhni Handi is a curry dish that consists of boneless chicken slow cooked with tomato, butter, onions, yoghurt and fresh ground spices. They serve this dish inside clay pot.
Chicken Makhni Handi has uniquely delicious curry taste, so I do believe that they are really selling the authentic Pakistani cuisine.
The boneless chicken doesn’t have any fat and has tenderly nice texture when I chewed. It’s delicious and I mixed this curry with naan and paratha.
Fish Achari Tikka is a charcoal BBQ dish that consists of boneless fish cubes marinated with yoghurt and pickled spices, cooked over charcoal.
Fish Achari Tikka also has distinct unique taste and I can tell that the fish cubes are marinated pretty well by tasting it.
Garlic Naan is one of the Naan bread type that they have and Naan itself is a leavened, clay oven-baked flatbread.
Garlic Naan is delicious and has a bit creamy taste.
Tandoori Lachha Paratha is a multi layered wholemeal bread cooked in a tandoor. It’s pretty unique design and also nice.
By observing other people on how to eat this, you need to dip naan and paratha into the curry.
Overall I was really surprised on how delicious this Pakistani cuisine could be.
You should try it because it’s worth to try.
