I recently tried to be more adventurous as possible as I could by exploring new places to have my lunch.
This time I was exploring Havelock Road and saw one authentic Thailand restaurant named Kin Ba Ba.
Kin Ba Ba is kind of a hidden gem for me because this area is quite not easily accessible by MRT. I need to take bus and walk a bit to reach there.
But the question is….is it totally worth it?
Let’s start the review 😊.
I tried their special rice menu named Braised Pork Hock with Rice ($7) and 4 pieces of Moo Ping ($7).
They claimed that their Braised Pork Hock with Rice was quite special and different compared with other restaurants. Because of that, I was curious to try and ordered that.
These dishes also came with homemade chilli sauce. You could also request to have extra chilli sauce without additional charge.
Braised Pork Hock with Rice also came with one boiled egg and green vegetables.
Their Braised Pork Hock was really tasty. The pork fat was juicy and the meat was also tender. They braised it perfectly.
The Braised Pork Hock sauce was also nice to mix with the steamed rice. Perhaps they could give more sauce 😂.
Moo Ping was also tasty and caramelized nicely. I ate this Moo Ping with homemade chilli sauce. What a good companion food to eat together.
Overall I was really satisfied with Kin Ba Ba dishes. Not sure how authentic is that, but the most important thing is I like it so much.
