Calling for all Indonesian people who stay in Singapore that are craving for Ayam Geprek.
I recently found small shop inside Sunshine Plaza named Mrs. Hen selling Indonesian food “Ayam Geprek”.
Speaking about Ayam Geprek is always identical with spicy chilli. Yup, Mrs. Hen is selling Ayam Geprek with few different types of sambal (chilli sauce) such as Sambal Signature (Signature Red Chilli) with four different levels (Level 10, 20, 30 and Danger!), Sambal Hijau (Green Chilli), Sambal Matah (Balinese Lemongrass Chilli), Sambal Platter (3 kinds of chilli: Signature, Matah and Hijau), Sambal Mangga (Mango Chilli), Sambal Bawang (Onion Chilli) and Sambal Kecap (Sweet Soy Sauce Chilli).
Wah, so many types of chilli sauce. But how about people who cannot take spicy food?
Don’t worry if you cannot eat spicy food (like me) because they have one non spicy sauce named Saus Telur Asin (Salted Egg Sauce).
They have three steps to order the food: First, pick one protein from Tahu Geprek (Crispy Fried Tofu), Ayam Geprek (Juicy Smashed Chicken), Ikan Geprek (Crispy Fish Fillet) or Terong Geprek (Crispy Fried Eggplant).
Second, pick one base from Nasi (White Rice), Nasi Kuning (Yellow Rice), Indomie or Salad.
The last step is to pick one chilli topping.
I chose Ayam Geprek with Nasi and Saus Telur Asin. The total cost was $9.20.
Mrs. Hen Ayam Geprek was using crispy fried chicken fillet. The Crispy Fried Chicken Fillet was very crispy, nice and had generous portions.
The Saus Telur Asin (Salted Egg Sauce) was also not bad and they gave generous portion of Salted Egg Sauce.
Overall, Mrs. Hen Ayam Geprek is tasty and crispy.
