From long time ago, I heard rumour about how famous Ponggol Nasi Lemak is, how expensive it is and mostly would have long queue to buy this nasi lemak.
I recently went there in the evening to try their nasi lemak.
As expected, there was long queue line in front of this stall and I didn’t have a choice, but to join the queue 😅.
After queuing around 20 minutes, finally it was my turn to order and I ordered one package nasi lemak with fried chicken wing, fried fish and curried cabbage. After adding toppings per request, they gave cucumbers and chilli.
If I remember correctly, this nasi lemak price is $6.80. Fyi, if you intend to order fried fish, by default they will give three pieces of fried fish so if you want only one or two pieces, better check with them directly.
This nasi lemak is fragrant and tasty.
The fried chicken and the fish are crispy and yummy. The fish also contains good quantity of fish meat. I mention this because normally fried fish inside nasi lemak is very small and skinny so you will hardly find any meat and mostly is bone.
The curried cabbage is also nice. It’s a good addition to enhance this nasi lemak overall taste.
The cucumbers are fresh and not bitter. Chilli is also nice and not very spicy.
Overall this nasi lemak is delicious. No wonder this nasi lemak is very famous. For the price wise, it’s relative if you compare this with the price on restaurants inside mall or hawker centre 😀.
