Looking for a delicious Halal Indonesian food around Punggol area?
You may try to visit Selera Sumang because Selera Sumang’s food is probably the best Halal Indonesian food that you can find in Punggol.
Don’t believe me? You can try to visit in the afternoon and you may see your luck whether you are lucky enough to still have a chance to buy the food or not.
Btw during Ramadan, they will open daily from 12:30PM – 05:30PM (except Tuesday).
It seems that Nasi Ambeng is Selera Sumang signature dish but because I visited this place on Saturday, so I tried their Nasi Rawon.
Nasi Rawon is only available on the weekend, so it looks special for me. Perhaps because the way they make nasi rawon is more complicated and more time consuming.
Nasi Rawon ($7) consists of rice, rawon gravy, sambal sotong, bergedil, fried tempeh, sambal belacan and serunding.
This Nasi Rawon is delicious and for your information that is actually normally Nasi Rawon in Indonesia and also comes with salted egg, but in here, they don’t have the salted egg. Instead of salted egg, they add sambal sotong.
Sambal sotong is indeed delicious. The other toppings are also nice.
Spicy lovers will definitely be happy to eat here because the chilli sauce (sambal) is very spicy.
So what are you waiting for? Walk slowly to Selera Sumang and try their food.
