Today I will share with you about Michelin star Bak Chor Mee stall in Singapore that a lot of people have mentioned it as the best bak chor mee in Singapore.
I do believe most of you already could guess which bak chor mee stall that I refer to. Yeah, it’s Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle.
Actually I have been already curious from long time ago on how nice this bak chor mee can be to be able to win the Michelin and to be nominated as the best bak chor mee in Singapore by many people.
But too bad because this place is quite far from my place and it’s quite walking distance from Nicholl Highway MRT station, so I kind of lazy to go there.
Luckily one day I accompanied my sister to go to Crawfort Ln area and accidentally passed by this Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle.
So without thinking twice, I joined the super long queue.
Btw, please take a note that actually in the same coffee shop, they have two stall of Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and I am not sure which one is the original but one thing for sure, I do believe I choose the correct one as only one stall has super long queue while the other one has no one queuing.
They have three different sizes of Bak Chor Mee: $6, $8 and $10.
After queuing for almost one hour, finally it was my turn to order so I ordered the $8 one and for my turn, the old uncle cooked my Bak Chor Mee.
This Bak Chor Mee contained many ingredients like sliced pork, minced pork, pork liver, meatball, dumpling and fried sliced fish. They also served it with one bowl of soup.
Honestly I already put so much expectations on this Bak Chor Mee so I wouldn’t mind queue so long. But,…….once I tried……I almost wanted to cry because this Bak Chor Mee was not very nice and I could not eat it. The reason was because entire noodle only had vinegar taste….super strong vinegar taste. It was like eating vinegar with Bak Chor Mee instead of Bak Chor Mee with vinegar.
In the end, I couldn’t finish this Bak Chor Mee. Sorry, it was not like I wanted to waste food, but I really couldn’t take it.
I was also wondering on how this Bak Chor Mee could get the Michelin.
Perhaps many people will not agree with my statement, but so be it because my original intention is to eat Bak Chor Mee (not Vinegar).
