Have you ever stuck in a super crowded gigantic hawker centre during lunch time while you are wondering which food you should try and all the famous restaurants around there are having a super long queue plus you only have a short lunch break?
I faced that messed up condition this time at Lau Pa Sat on one sunny weekday lunch.
So the simplest solution was that my intuition was telling me to pick any no queue food stall that was selling unique looking food which I haven’t tried before.
Right away I picked Lisa’s Viet Kitchen and ordered their Grilled Chicken / Pork & Fried Roll Noodle Dry ($9.50).
Honestly when I ordered, I didn’t notice I had to choose either grilled chicken or grilled pork because I just simply said: “number three having here”.
I only noticed now when I write this article. Yeah I know, you will call me silly 😂😂😂.
Lisa’s Viet Kitchen is selling Vietnamese cuisine and Grilled Chicken / Pork & Fried Roll Noodle Dry looks like an alien food for me (in a positive way) because I really don’t know the correct way to eat that.
They were serving this Grilled Chicken / Pork & Fried Roll Noodle Dry inside one big bowl with zero sauce and they put dark orange colour sauce in a separate small bowl.
My natural instict assumed that dark orange colour was the sauce that I needed to mix myself, but to double confirm my instict, I was using “Call a Friend” option and asked from Vietnamese cuisine expert on how to eat that.
And woalah, I really should mixed this sauce myself. So in a shortest time ever I became an instant chef to find out the correct ratio of the sauce to be mixed with this zero sauce noodles.
Luckily I got the so called correct ratio based on my preference and started to enjoy the noodles, spring rolls and a grilled meat that I didn’t know whether it was chicken or pork 😂.
Frankly speaking, this dish was surprisingly very very good. So I changed the nickname from an alien food to become littletigeradventure food.
The spring rolls was very crispy and had thick fillings (glass noodles and other delicious thing).
The grilled meat that I believed was pork was very tasty and tender.
If you are expecting the flavour to be similar like Chinese noodles, you would better erase that from your mind. But one thing for sure, most of you will definitely like this dish.
Let me described, this dish is like a tasty salad noodles with full delicious meats and fried food.
Curious right? Easy, you just need to run to Lau Pa Sat to visit Lisa’s Viet Kitchen.
