I love Bak Chang so much, especially the one that is made from glutinous rice. It’s reminded me of my childhood when my mom made bak chang herself. How about you? Do you like Bak Chang?
Because of that, whenever I saw people / new place selling Bak Chang, I intend to try it.
Same as this time, while queueing Tanglin Crispy Curry Puff, I saw Bak Chang stall named Hiong Kee Dumplings. So after I purchased the curry puff, I went to Hiong Kee Dumplings.
Hiong Kee Dumplings is selling eight different Dumplings: two types of Pork Dumplings ($4.50 and $4), two types of Chicken Dumplings ($4.50 and $4), Nonya Dumpling ($3.80), Belly Pork Dumpling ($4.50), Red Bean Kee Chang ($2.10) and Kee Chang ($1.80).
$4.50 of Pork Dumpling consists of Pork, Mushroom, Chestnut and Salted Egg.
$4 of Pork Dumpling consists of Pork, Mushroom and Chestnut.
$4.50 of Chicken Dumpling consists of Chicken, Mushroom, Chestnut and Salted Egg.
$4 of Chicken Dumpling consists of Chicken, Mushroom and Chestnut.
I bought two Pork Dumplings ($4.50 each) to take away.
The Pork Dumpling seems that it’s made using traditional way based on the pork texture when I chew it. Mushroom taste also like home cooking one.
They also give many pork inside Pork Dumpling so you will able to eat pork in every spoon of rice.
I can appreciate this Pork Dumpling taste because it’s tasted homey. It definitely will become my comfort food.
So if you pass by, do try these Bak Chang from Hiong Kee Dumplings.
